Kuching Mass Blackout...

it was around 6pm when it all started...

i was on my living room couch...relaxing my slow saturday evenings...

playing my guitar...den suddenly POOF!

electricity GONE..blackout...

den i went to check if oni our hse nia...

all neighbours aso kpkb...

den nt long after,

desmond smsed me tellin me that his area and the WHOLE SARAWAK aso no electric...
lesley aso...li yin aso....

of course when all this happens everyone is very DIAO de lorr...

den we lit candles arnd the hse...

tried to cook.

..but really bo pien...as the day was getting dark we decided to get out to eat..

went to jalan song de food court makan makan!...

when we were about the turn into the jalan song commercial centre...

the WHOLE place was pitch black...except for one luminous glow comming from the food court!

and when we got closer...the whole food court was gloomily lit up by candles!

how romantic!!!..

saw waiters n waitresses all biting onto a flashlight,

while hurrying to their tables to take orders,

or a tray in their hands, scuffling to their tables...

it was a pretty sight thoughs...

alot of the nearby residents came out to eat...

den after seating down n went to order my cha kueh tiaw...

i went to walk around...seeing hw they operate under darkness and alls..

walk around nia, omoz bumped into a few waiters liawss...

aso took a few pics wit my cacated cam fone...

yeah thats right ppl...all u can see his candlelight xp

walking around i met afew guys frm sch...
i knw dem bt dunno their names and im sure they'd say the same to me, we jz smiled...den went to the area's cyber cafe, Gizmo Gamers...saw alot of gamers de tulan faces out there...all sit there smoking xDD

when i got back my cha kueh tiaw edi arrived liaw..so we digged in lors...makan makan halfway
suddenly POOF!! the lights lit up!!! the crowd cheered on!! clappin and smiles were on everyones faces :DD!!...bt nt even a miniute passed...POOF!! electricity GONE! potong steam larrsss...diuu...den makan habis le go home...electricity nt even back on...haihss..

when arrived home...my fone died...den tou tou switch sim card wit mum and received 6 msges at a time xPP...some is abt lesley kiu kiu tiu abt hw scared she was...den bu zhi bu jue nida chia her limteh liawss! all cz my moms fone didnt recognize her num xDD..lols

den we went outside to ku kin...inside was so damn hot! suddenly i heard my dad say "EHY! look at the bush!! gt stg flashing!" den i went over n see...ahh..its a familiar bug ive seen on my expedition trip xDD...a FIREFLY!!

out of complete boredom, me n my sis went and get plastic bags and we cot ONE...cz there was only one -.-...it was pretty cool xP...see it flashing around de bag...den after playin wif it ...i concluded that:

1)it is attracted to HEAT.

2)it doesnt light up when light is close to it.

3) it RAWKS xPP..

den after awhile my ulu sis played wit it...its light started weakening liaw...and since scout law #6 says dun screw animals around...so i let it go instead :DDD!!! den stg amazin happened....

the MOMENT i let it fly away...the electricity went ON!!! WOO HOO!!..fuck wishing on shooting stars and what not....wish on bugs!!

i ISNTANTLY came in and turned on the comp, and here i am, writing this xDD..

when i was abt to hit PUBLISH POST, electricity FUCKED UP AGAINSS!!! WHAT TEH FOOK!!?! den had ta retype it alls...i take back watever i said jz nw...i had ta bathe in the dark...was a lil scared thinkin dat a hand may grab me frm behind when bathing...bleh...

den whole family sit arnd de living room candle...me playing my guitar n waiting for the electricity to come...OPTIMISM LOST -.-

den now everything is finaly stable liaws thanks to a certain "LUCKY CHARM" -.-...bt all in all...a pretty exciting nite...aint as bored as usual xD

the TOTAL duration of the black out is from 6pm till 11 stg....with lighted intervals in betweeen...so its arnd 4 hours without electricity!!! imagine the money lost in this few hours...

one the biggest blackout i ever witnessed in years!!!
